The Erode Dried Flower Vase V1 is a lattice vessel 3D-printed from black quartz sand, designed specifically for dried floral arrangements. A flowing network of organic openings wraps across the body of a classic amphora silhouette, dissolving the solid surface into a web of curved branches and negative space. Stems and petals push through the lattice, blurring the boundary between container and arrangement.
The openwork pattern is only possible through additive manufacturing - no mould, no carving tool could produce these interlocking voids with such precision.
The Erode collection explores the tension between structure and dissolution - classical vessel forms interrupted by organic erosion patterns. The lattice references natural processes: coral growth, weathered stone, biological networks. First in a series exploring different proportions and pattern densities.
The raw sand surface is coarse and matte with a mineral grain that contrasts beautifully against dried botanicals - burgundy roses, golden grasses, preserved eucalyptus, seed heads. The lattice catches light and casts intricate shadows that shift through the day.
At 38cm tall and just 2.5kg, the Erode V1 is light enough for shelving and mantels but carries enough visual weight to anchor a dining table or console as a centrepiece. Pairs naturally with linen, warm timber, bouclé, stone, and brass. Suited to residential interiors, boutique hotels, design showrooms, and gallery displays. Signed by Maker
