This Tureen is a lovely MCM Period creation from SALVIATI & Co. of Venice. The decoration is a fantastical Gold pink and white hand-painted decoration on bone white China. The decoration is very thickly applied by hand and is presented here in perfect condition.
The Theme on the tureen is very romantic and features a male and female in a garden setting including birds, flowers and trellises. It is topped by a gold leafed topped finial.. The tureen has a mouth opening of 9.875" and all inclusive height of approximately 8.0"" and the bottom part has a height of 4.5".
The tureen is in excellent condition. It is marked with a gold medallion at base and signed "Salviati & Co. Venice. Made in Italy"
