Two imposing architectural elements capable of lending an immediate aura of solemnity and prestige to any home. This rare and majestic pair of large, solid bronze vases, with a refined 1960s design, is the ideal choice for decorating grand entrances, grand staircases, foyers, or state rooms with dramatic flair.
Subject and Style: The vases are inspired by the classic forms of large Italian garden amphorae, reinterpreted with the clean, decisive lines of mid-twentieth-century design. The trophy-shaped central body is elegantly punctuated by deep vertical pods. Two powerful handles rise from the sides, culminating in broad, graceful scrolls at the top, balancing the severity of the form with a touch of dynamism.
Material and Finish: The pair is crafted from solid, high-quality bronze, a detail confirmed by the exceptional weight of each vase, a staggering 15,500 kg. The exterior surface is embellished with a magnificent and natural "verdigris" patina, which has developed naturally over time, giving them an authentic and highly sought-after antique feel.
