The title, that reproduce this meaning is "Il ponte del palazzo" translated in "The bridge of the Palace". There is the English phrase: Near Florence. The author of the drawings was E.F.Batty. London published, October 1st 1816 by Rodwell & Martin, New Bond Street. Engraved by C.Heath & J.Wallis. Elisabeth Frances Betty (1791-1875) in 1816, made a series of drawings depicting the places who visited in Italy, travelling with her father, an important doctor. Upon her return to England, her drawings were turned into refined color prints. After Napoleon's defeat and the Restoration of 1815, Europe was once again accessible to British travelers, and as their numbers grew, so did interest in illustrated travel books. The refined print on paper is dated 1816. The elegant frame is hand-made in walnut and it is a contemporary production, it is made in Italy and price included.
