Slim op - a modular standing lamp that adapts its height to the user’s needs and the function of the space. The two-module version works perfectly as a table lamp, while the taller configurations create ideal ambient lighting. Made entirely from white clay and glazed in one of fourteen colors from our palette, it showcases the natural beauty of the material. Each piece is handcrafted, making every lamp truly one of a kind. We created the op objects to reveal the extraordinary relationship between color and light. They are a tribute to color and its ability to surprise, transform, and delight. We also wanted both literally and metaphorically to shed light on the material beauty of ceramics, a medium that has captured our professional lives. Magda jurek is an artist, designer, and the founder of the eponymous brand and design studio pani jurek. She graduated with a painting degree from the academy of fine arts in warsaw and currently utilizes her art studies to bring a conceptual approach to her design work in the aim of creating products that are not obvious and atypical. Apart from a unique design, pani jurek's products are handmade and rooted in the language of art. She designs products that can be changed or rearranged depending on the space and awaken the user's own creativity. Magda jurek is also a co-founder of “based in warsaw,” an association set up to enhance social design and increase design in public areas. She is the creator of the bestselling maria sc chandelier, the awarded trn lighting and furniture collection as well as an activity book "psikusy" created to support unbreeds, homeless dogs.
