The “Black Damask” plate, crafted in majolica and painted in a striking duotone of black and golden yellow, features an elegant decorative motif rooted in the Deruta tradition, inspired by a tile from a local church and reinterpreted in a contemporary style. The wide rim, accentuated by a raised edge and delicately painted modular ornamentation, showcases an extensive decorative border band adorned with traditional peacock feather motifs in soft golden yellow, accented with cerium white shading. Inside the large central area, naturalistic decorations unfold in perfect specular and radial symmetry, radiating from a central hexagonal element. This intricate design forms graceful golden yellow raceme motifs that beautifully contrast against the rich black background.
