Its organically curved … Read more A striking, tall glass vase from the renowned mdina glass manufactory in malta, crafted in the 1970s. Its organically curved form, with a bulbous body and elegantly tapered neck, lends the piece a sculptural, almost fluid appearance. Characteristic is the multi-layered, free-flowing interplay of warm yellows, oranges, and reds, combined with white and slightly greenish inclusions. The colors seem to flow within the glass, creating—depending on the light—an impressive depth and dynamism. This technique is typical of early mdina production and strongly inspired by italian murano glass.

the slightly flared, asymmetrical rim and the visible handcraftsmanship underscore the unique character of each piece. The vase works equally well empty as a sculptural object or, filled with a few branches or flowers, as a striking focal point in any room. It features the original mdina glass malta label and an additional incised signature on the base.


the vase is a beautiful sculptural piece. Condition: very good vintage condition with minimal signs of age-related wear, a few small air bubbles, and some typical inclusions in the glass.
