It depicts a lion, hyena, or other predator holding prey in its mouth—a sheep, antelope, etc. The bronze has a uniform and clean original dark/brown patina. The work is of extremely fine detail, hand-hammered. Vintage, 1940s-1970s or earlier.

Maximum length: 19cm, 13cm without the tail, approximately 8cm maximum width, and approximately 16.5cm maximum height (head). In very good overall condition, with a small, discreet chip on the top of the left ear; otherwise, nothing significant. This is a very finely crafted piece that will delight lovers of African art.
