Very rare and charming, this decorative Limoges porcelain bottle, stamped ML, by Lucien Michelaud, features hand-painted decoration in the Art … Read more Very rare and charming, this decorative Limoges porcelain bottle, stamped ML, by Lucien Michelaud, features hand-painted decoration in the Art Deco style. An early piece dating from between the late 1920s and late 1930s, it is based on a design by Lucien Willmetz, "Prunellia," for Cusenier. It was also used by Robj Paris, likely sourced from the same supplier of unpainted porcelain. The bottle depicts a pretty young woman in a dress and apron. The dress is adorned with small, hand-painted motifs of stylized blue, yellow, and green flowers. Her apron, highlighted with gold, holds orange fruit with green leaves. Her hair is red and tied to the side, and her face has a naive expression. Unfortunately, the bottle is missing its original stopper, but it would make a lovely bud vase.

25cm high, approximately 9cm maximum diameter. This is a lovely collector's item for Art Deco porcelain enthusiasts. The model is rare, and many examples have sadly been lost over time. It is in very good overall condition with a firing crack inside the neck, which is not noticeable and not visible from the outside. It weighs approximately 350 grams. The Robj model is referenced in Vanna Brega's book, "Robj Paris," published by Leonardo Periodici in 1995, on page 208, number 257. This piece has an attribution mark,
