A complete set of six “4875” chairs designed by carlo bartoli for kartell, an iconic example of italian industrial design from the 1970s. The model 4875 is celebrated for being one of the earliest single-material, injection-moulded dining chairs, reflecting kartell’s pioneering work with plastics. The sculptural form features a continuous, flowing silhouette: a soft curve at the backrest, a gently concave seat, and cylindrical legs that emphasize the chair’s monolithic character. The design achieves both strength and flexibility, offering ergonomic comfort despite its minimalist construction. Executed in black abs plastic, this set displays the elegant sheen and subtle age patination typical of early kartell production.
