La Leçon de Musique is an original artwork realized by the French artist George Henri Manesse in 1892. Etching on paper. Signed on the plate on the lower-left corner; Hand-signed in pencil by the artist on the lower right margin. The original hallmark of the Societé Normande de la Gravure is on the lower left corner. Fair conditions. Very beautiful artwork representing a music lesson. The composition is characterized by two elegant figures around a table. In the center of the composition, there is a lady watching the scores, while the master on her right is teaching her. The artwork was realized by Georges Henri Manesse (Rouen, 1854 - 1942), a French drawer and engraver. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
