Eleganza cantilever armchair designed by Tim Bates for Pieff, 1970s. Chrome-plated tubular steel frame with dark brown leather upholstery.
The chair features a continuous cantilever frame in chrome tubular steel with four-panel segmented back cushioning. Armrests are leather-wrapped over the chrome tubes. Seat construction uses webbing stretched over a metal frame with upholstered cushioning mounted above. The manufacturer's label remains intact on the underframe, reading "Pieff Worcestershire England."
The high back provides individual padded panels for backrest and headrest support. All upholstery panels are stitched and secured to the frame. The cantilever design allows the base to slide partially under tables or desks. This piece has an attribution mark,
