Etching and aquatint on paper realized by Angelo Casciello. Hand signed and numbered. Edition of 100. Very good condition. A refined and architectonic abstract composition by Italian artist Angelo Casciello, executed in color etching and aquatint, demonstrating the artist’s distinctive synthesis of sculptural form and graphic language. The composition is structured around a central, monument-like form rendered in layered tonalities of grey and black, set against a vibrant, textured red ground. The upper section introduces a geometric framework of linear marks and angular planes, while the lower portion features a draped, curtain-like motif, lending the work a subtle interplay between rigidity and fluidity. The juxtaposition of precise linear elements with richly worked aquatint textures creates a dynamic tension between order and organic movement. Casciello’s practice, deeply informed by his background as a sculptor, is evident in the work’s volumetric sensibility and architectural clarity. The carefully balanced composition and restrained palette are characteristic of his graphic oeuvre, situating the piece within the broader context of late 20th-century Italian abstraction. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
