Rotating Storage Unit Manufactured by Bernini, Italy, circa 1960s Mahogany, brass, and glass. This refined rotating storage unit epitomizes Gianfranco Frattini’s meticulous approach to functional design and architectural detailing. Executed in richly toned mahogany, the piece features a circular rotating base supporting a square body adorned with slatted tambour-style panels, creating a sophisticated rhythm of vertical lines. The top surface is distinguished by a recessed circular brass tray with a glass insert, offering a subtle contrast of materials and finishes. The unit incorporates two drawers and open storage compartments, all accessible through the rotational mechanism—an ingenious solution that merges practicality with sculptural presence. Frattini’s design, produced by Bernini, reflects the high standard of Italian cabinetmaking and the designer’s commitment to merging elegance with usability. Excellent vintage condition. Minor surface wear consistent with age and use; patina on the brass tray adds character and authenticity.A rare and beautifully crafted example of Gianfranco Frattini’s collaboration with Bernini, this rotating unit demonstrates his enduring ability to fuse architectural form, fine craftsmanship, and innovative utility—hallmarks of mid-century Italian design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
