Ercol Model 439 writing desk from the Windsor range. Solid elm top, drawer front, and raised gallery with beech frame. Main drawer features two carved circular recessed handles that sit flush when not in use. Drawer box constructed with proper joinery and wooden guides.
Raised gallery includes shaped backboard with curved profile, two small drawers with turned wooden knobs, and central open compartment. Beech frame with tapered legs and cross-stretcher bracing positioned for structural support without interfering with leg clearance when seated. Blue "Made in Ercol England" label present and intact on rear.
