The “Dragons” plate, crafted in polychrome majolica, showcases a lavish grotesque pattern inspired by 15th-century tradition. The wide rim, featuring a raised edge and finely painted decorative motif, includes two distinctive contour bands. The outer band displays a captivating radial symmetry with hybrid animal figures resembling dolphins and masks of bearded men, while the inner band features concentric peacock feather motifs interwoven with floral and botanical elements against a pristine white background. At the center of the plate, a winged mythological figure commands attention, holding a shield adorned with intricate geometric designs, with the powerful body of a lion and the bust of a woman.
