artist the ceramicist mrs. Manna was hired in the late 1920s as a modeler and decorator at the lenci artistic ceramics factory in turin, owned by helen konig scavini. Like other employees of the renowned turin factory, she left lenci in the early 1930s—by then in deep financial trouble—and opened her own workshop in turin called c.i.a. (ceramica italiana artistica), located at via mondrone 10. From the c.i.a. Kilns emerged vases, ornaments, dainty statuettes, and feminine figurines imitating the ceramics of the lenci company.
c.i.a. Manna brand in the early 1930s, mrs. Manna, a former decorator at the turin-based lenci artistic ceramics factory, opened the c.i.a. (ceramica italiana artistica) artistic ceramics factory in turin. The factory’s creations drew inspiration from lenci’s models and consisted, in most cases, of female figurines, genre statuettes, and ornaments. Among the company’s various collaborators in the 1940s were lino berzoini and the decorators emma pellegrini and margherita costantino.
