This set perfectly illustrates the refinement of French glassmaking in the 1930s. The Verlys factory, renowned for its molded opalescent glass creations in the style of Lalique, here develops a stylized marine motif typical of the Art Deco aesthetic, blending organic lines, sculpted reliefs, and the translucency of the glass.
