Inspired by the emblem of the city of Nancy, the thistle motif first appeared in 1908. In 1913, it was renamed the Thistle. For over a century, this iconic design has graced the finest tables and remains one of the most representative examples of Saint-Louis's craftsmanship.
This remarkable piece is made of cobalt blue double-layered crystal, precisely cut to reveal fine vertical Venetian ribs and deep bevels. The neck is adorned with a delicately engraved frieze highlighted in 24-karat gold. The foot features a gilded accent that underscores the architectural balance of the silhouette.

The contrast between the intensity of the cobalt blue and the transparency of the cut crystal creates an exceptional luminous depth when the piece catches the light.
