Hjort, dating from the 1910s. This striking piece is crafted in richly toned black terracotta and features a beautifully modeled base adorned with a group of seated cats, rendered in a stylized yet naturalistic manner. Their elongated forms and serene expressions exemplify the elegant, organic lines characteristic of the art nouveau movement. The cylindrical base below is subtly detailed with geometric cutouts, providing a pleasing contrast to the fluid sculptural upper section.
