The Cocoon material provides diffused, atmospheric light. At the same time, the symmetrical lamp body makes an impressive lighting statement in the room. The manufacturer, Goldkant, is known for various Cocoon lamp designs from the 1960s and 70s. Many Goldkant designs are often attributed to Castiglioni, as the patterns and forms used are very similar.
