Set of three excellent expressive meissen porcelain figurines: column-shaped animal figures with heads held high, each pair referring to the corresponding aesop's fables. The fox and the grapes: the fable is about a fox who cannot reach the grapes hanging high up and then pretends that he does not really want them because they are not ripe enough\.
- pride the fox and the stork: the fox and the stork invite each other to dinner – first, the fox serves the food on flat plates, which means that the stork cannot eat properly because of its beak, then the stork serves the food in bottles\. - do unto others as you would have them do unto you the fox and the raven: the raven sits in a tree with a piece of cheese. The fox calls the raven beautiful and asks him to sing. When the raven opens his beak, the food falls to the ground, which the fox then picks up and eats\. - beware of flattery
all figures are based on small square pedestals with gold painting on the sides and the artist's round 'ps' signature on the side.
