Spectacular and unique pair of floral table lamps entirely made of mouth-blown murano glass and brass. These incredibly elegant lamps were crafted by murano master archimede seguso in italy during the 1950s. Fully original and in amazing condition, with no chips or cracks. The murano glasswork is breathtaking, featuring the refined bullicante air-bubble technique that beautifully enhances light diffusion. When lit, the effect is simply spectacular, highlighting the crystal clarity and sinuous organic shapes. Professionally rewired and tested, the lamps are compatible with both us and eu/uk standards and use standard e14 light bulbs. A one-of-a-kind set, perfect for elevating a bedroom or living room with a touch of timeless italian design elegance. Dimensions with lampshades (cm / in): diameter: 14 cm (5.51 in) height: 28 cm (11.02 in) the bullicante technique allows the creation of glass pieces with countless small air bubbles trapped within the material. This distinctive effect is achieved by placing a piece of molten glass into a special metal mould fitted with spikes, resembling the texture of a pineapple. These spikes impress tiny indentations across the surface of the glass. After a brief cooling period, the piece is dipped again into molten glass, forming a second outer layer. Due to the natural density of glass, the previously created indentations are not filled, allowing air to remain trapped between the two layers. This process results in a remarkable sense of depth and a uniquely vibrant decorative effect, celebrated for its originality and visual richness. Archimede seguso was one of the most important italian glassmakers of the 20th century, renowned for his refined craftsmanship and innovative approach to murano glass. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
