Very rare goldscheider ceramic figurine: young female revue dancer with chin-length hair and bare torso in light blue short skirt, holding up the long trains with large-scale floral decoration attached to the back waistband of the skirt with outstretched arms at her sides like butterfly wings and taking a step forward. Based on black flat triangular base. Designed by josef lorenzl (1892 - 1950), an austrian sculptor and ceramic modeler. His bronze statuettes often show graceful dancers with long legs and closed eyes. Lorenzl designed numerous ceramics for friedrich goldscheider and keramos and was one of the most popular artists of art deco. This model 8460 was created circa 1936. Made circa 1940
