Each chair is crafted in solid walnut and defined by its elegant cabriole legs, shaped apron, and hand-carved detailing, including floral motifs and softly scrolled elements characteristic of the Louis XV style. The silhouette is light yet sculptural, offering a sense of movement and balance across the full set. The walnut frames retain a warm, naturally aged patina, with rich tonal variation and surface character developed over time, enhancing the depth and authenticity of the wood. Each chair has been structurally revised in our workshop and is solid and stable, ready for daily use. The finish has been gently refreshed and waxed, preserving the original character. The chairs retain their original hand-woven cane seats and backs, a detail increasingly difficult to find in large, matching sets. The cane shows wear consistent with age and use, with some areas of thinning and localized breaks. The set remains fully functional and presents beautifully as-is.
