This set of four "Gentiane" chairs is a lovely 1960s creation from the Baumann workshops in the Franche-Comté region of France. They are elegant, graceful, and innovative. The backrest and seat are made of thermoformed plywood in a golden hue to offer maximum comfort. As an added bonus, this version of the "Gentiane" bistro chair features a red vinyl seat for extra comfort and a pop of color!

The "Gentiane" bistro chair by Baumann is distinguished by its original design. The backrest, with its cut-out silhouette, is made of plywood; it is openwork and slightly curved. The set consists of four chairs. Being vintage, they show various and significant signs of wear: the wood is patinated and shows signs of use, and some seat cushions have small nicks and minor veneer losses, visible in the photos. The chairs are stamped Baumann on the side. We have 12 chairs of this model, as well as other Baumann chair series.
