Designed by Braathen … Read more We are offering a particularly beautiful, very rare, and classic Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern chair from the 1950s.

Designed by Braathen & Brattrud for Dokka Mobler (see photo above, reference to the literature source). The chair's design is also strongly reminiscent of Alf Svensson's chair designs for Fritz Hansen or Dux.

The distinctive features of this high-backed chair are the sculptural armrests made of exquisite, solid teak and the gently curved, slender lines of the design.

The red upholstery is vibrant yet sophisticated, further emphasizing the exclusivity of this piece.

CONDITION
The armchair is in well-maintained and excellent vintage condition with minor, age-appropriate signs of wear on the teak frame and fabric upholstery.

* These include a few small dings, surface scratches, or small nicks on the wood.

* The fabric upholstery is also in good condition, showing only the usual, slight signs of age, but still presents a very attractive appearance.

There are two small, superficially repaired areas of the fabric along the side edges in the middle, which were previously patched by the previous owner (this repaired area is visible in one of the photos above).

* The padding is in very good condition. The seat has been professionally reupholstered.

* \.All signs of wear are only slightly visible upon close inspection, and are not significant; these marks are hardly noticeable in everyday use.
