The stool is lightweight (less than 1 kg) and stackable.

The TC stool is part of the collection of several museums: the permanent collection of MoMA, New York, Cooper Hewitt Museum, New York, Museum für Angewandte Kunst, Cologne and Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

The stool is handmade of two millimeter thin birch multiplex 'airplane triplex' which is especially produced for the aircraft industry and consist of 4 extremely thin veneer layers.
