The bodies are decorated with powerful sinuous dragons in motion, set against a crisp white ground filled with stylized cloud scrolls. Below, bands of layered turquoise and blue waves rise across the lower body, creating a dynamic sense of movement as the dragons appear to emerge from the sea. The contrast between the clean white field and the saturated blues gives the composition unusual clarity compared to more densely colored examples.


The dragons are rendered with elongated bodies, finely articulated scales, and expressive features, their forms weaving fluidly through the surrounding clouds. Additional auspicious elements, including flaming pearls, are interspersed throughout the scene, reinforcing traditional symbolism of power and prosperity.


The necks and shoulders are decorated with structured bands of geometric and floral ornament, executed with precision and symmetry, while gilt bronze mounts at the rims and foot provide a strong visual frame to the composition.
