George nelson cabinet, herman miller edition. Small sideboard by george nelson (1908-1986) in walnut for herman miller usa. It comprises two storage sections with sliding doors and round chrome handles. Each section has a height-adjustable and removable shelf. The cabinet rests on four chrome tubular legs with adjustable feet. The walnut veneer is a beautiful choice reminiscent of brazilian rosewood. The back is also walnut veneer, allowing the piece to be used as a room divider or placed in the center of a room. The top has a few minor scratches, but overall it is in good vintage condition. This piece is not widely available. It does not bear the herman miller stamp, but this piece was acquired with the eog desk and a bookcase from the same brand, which has the herman miller sticker.
