This classic, 1970s Director’s X-Chair was designed by Leonard Linden, John McGuire, and Elinor McGuire for McGuire Furniture Company. This piece reflects the brand’s celebrated combination of organic materials and refined craftsmanship.
This chair features a solid wood frame (finished in a rich mahogany stain), bound with traditional rawhide lacing and accented with polished brass hardware. For the upholstery, we worked with a master upholsterer in Miami and selected a warm brown leather from Tiger Leather (Sawtooth– Color Cottonwood), offering a subtle upgrade giving the chair a fresh feel without taking away from the original design.
