Refinished Vintage Chest by Stanley
This chest is from an exclusive line called 'Distinctive Furniture' by Stanley. The pieces from this line were only manufactured in the 1950s-60s, making this piece 60 to 70 years old! It is a well built chest that is HEAVY! The chest contains 5 drawers, all containing dovetail joinery. This piece has been properly sanded, pre-stained, stained, and sealed with a polycrylic satin finish. The original hardware had seen better days and just didn't flow right with this piece, so it was updated with antique, yet modern looking hardware. All 5 drawers have been cleaned, sanded, oil conditioned, and a liner has been added to each one.
This piece needed a lot of restoration and repairs and the ultimate goal was to keep it as original as possible! Paint was the absolute last option, but thankfully it didn't have to come to that.
