This pair of lamps was designed by Yasha Heifetz, a renowned lighting designer active from the 1940s to the 1960s. Heifetz was known for his innovative and distinctive creations while serving as creative director of his father-in-law's company, Heifetz Manufacturing, based in Los Angeles. These lamps feature two dramatic hammered bronze designs that wrap around a central brass core, which leads to the sockets and pointed wooden finials.
The lamps measure 21 1/4" from the bottom of the base to the top of the lamp's bronze portion, and 38 1/2" from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial. Their splinth bases are ebonized wood, irregularly pentagonal, measuring 9" wide, 6 1/2" deep (at its deepest), and feature the official Heifetz brand stamp.

These lamps have recently undergone restoration by a specialist in the greater Washington, D.C., area, with new lamp cords, brass sockets, and felt lining on their bases. The upper bronze and brass sections of the lamps remain in their original condition. These lamps are in very good vintage condition. There are some sporadic imperfections on the bronze section (please examine photos carefully) that would require metallurgical detailing if desired. Please contact me with any questions or requests for additional photos.
