Excellent large antique or vintage Japanese Ink Scroll Painting "Raccoons and the Moon". Signed and sealed by artist. Masterfully painted. Very detailed. Ink on silk over paper. Beautifully mounted on silk. Bone roller. Paper on back. Raccoons (tanuki) is a prominent symbol of good fortune, prosperity, and wealth in Japanese culture. Japan, Taisho to early Showa Era, c. 1920-1940s. Excellent to Very Good condition - some age wear, minimal foxing and staining, clean. This scroll can be trimmed and framed.
