This Old Master or Renaissance style sketch or study is of a castle with fishing boat and figures on a log in the foreground. The piece appears to be executed in watercolor ink and inkwash on laid paper. We are not sure of the age of the painting, it might be Old or a copy of an older piece. The figures to the left of the boy on the log that have been hidden in the trees or changed makes us believe it is a 17th/18th century piece. The back of the frame is labeled for New York City decorators and artists Karl Mann Associates.

Condition: Heavy discoloration, staining and fauxing to the early paper. Paper is glued down at the corners, some wear to frame.
