Add a touch of elegance to a bedroom or sitting area with this antique footstool. Crafted in France circa 1960, the oval stool is built of walnut and carved in the graceful Louis XV manner, featuring a scalloped apron embellished with delicate floral and foliate motifs. The cabriole legs are accented with carved details and terminate in petite feet, all highlighted with subtle touches of gilt over a warm and rich walnut patina.
The upholstered seat is dressed in a striking black and cream patterned fabric, finished with decorative nailhead trim along the perimeter, adding a bold contrast to the classic frame. The stool is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and would make a charming accent at the foot of a bed, in a dressing room, or as a decorative ottoman in a living space.
