Mid 20th century picnic basket made from wood, wicker, and I believe a leather lining, but im not 100% sure on the leather lining. It could be a coated thick paper instead. The outside of the picnic basket is in good condition. This piece has certainly been utilized in the past due to some wear on the base of the basket. This wear is visible in the photos.
With that said, it is still very functional as I’ve kept it in commission for other purposes from time to time.
The top opens up completely so you’re able to fit a good many things inside. You will come across these but I haven’t seen many with the slatted top which I think adds a lot of character to the piece.
