A beautifully handcrafted studio pottery chamberstick by noted Southern folk potter John Meaders of Georgia. This piece exemplifies the rich tradition of American folk pottery, featuring a wheel-thrown form with an attached handle and integrated drip tray.
Finished in a warm olive-brown glaze with subtle tonal variations, the surface reveals natural firing characteristics and organic texture typical of Meaders family pottery. The proportions are elegant yet functional, designed to hold a standard taper candle while catching wax drips in the wide dish below.
