Digitally … Read more The Soft Intrusion is a contemporary limited edition print from my Of a [Familiar] Nature series, created in 2025. Digitally hand-drawn, the work reflects on the relationship between nature and the built world, and on the ways human presence shapes the spaces around us. In this piece, I was thinking about intrusion not as something abrupt or violent, but as something quieter — the way human systems, structures, and intentions gradually enter the natural world and begin to sit inside it.

The monkey introduces a quiet living presence within the tree, while the gold ribbon suggests the value we assign to things — the way we mark, frame, and elevate parts of the natural world through human ideas of worth. For me, the work is about that subtle point where attention becomes imposition, and where coexistence begins to blur with control. Like the other works in this series, it sits in that space where beauty and disturbance coexist, and where the natural world continues to hold its own presence even as it is being shaped around us.

Offered as a limited-edition archival pigment print on paper, framed in a 2" solid white wood frame, in two sizes: 38" x 38" framed, edition of 5; and 26" x 26" framed, edition of 10. See less
