Digitally … Read more The Divided Intention is a contemporary limited edition print from my Of a [Familiar] Nature series, created in 2025. Digitally hand-drawn, the work reflects on the relationship between nature and the built world, and on the ways human presence shapes the spaces around us.

In this piece, I was thinking about how our intentions toward the natural world are often conflicted — part care, part control, part admiration, part interference. The black birds bring a sense of stillness and finality to the work, while the surrounding color suggests movement, vitality, and change. For me, it sits in that uneasy space where protection and containment begin to blur, and where beauty and disturbance exist at the same time. I was interested in the gap between what we mean to preserve and what we also end up managing, organizing, or separating from its own nature.

Offered as a limited-edition archival pigment print on paper, framed in a 2" solid white wood frame, in two sizes: 38" x 38" framed, edition of 5; and 26" x 26" framed, edition of 10. See less
