The mirror … Read more A classic antique English convex “bullseye” mirror dating to the mid-19th century, crafted in the elegant Regency style. The mirror features its original domed glass set within a finely detailed giltwood frame, adorned with applied ball decoration and delicate molded ornament.

The gently aged gilt surface has developed a warm, authentic patina, beautifully complementing the character of the original convex plate. The mirror’s curved glass softly distorts reflections in the traditional manner, adding depth and visual interest while enhancing light within a space.

The mirror retains its original glass with age-appropriate spotting and light foxing, consistent with its age. A small, old repair is visible at one of the decorative “X” motifs on the frame, stable and unobtrusive. The back shows an older backing board with hanging chain, ready for display.

A timeless and highly decorative piece—ideal above a console, mantel, or incorporated into a gallery wall. Its scale and classic form make it equally suited to traditional and more contemporary interiors.
