Digitally hand-drawn, … Read more The Gift is a contemporary limited edition print from my Of a [Familiar] Nature series, created in 2025. Digitally hand-drawn, the work reflects on the relationship between nature and the built world, and on the ways human presence shapes the spaces around us. In this piece, I was thinking about the idea of a gift as something that can hold beauty, vulnerability, and tension at the same time.

The tree feels like a place of gathering and exchange, where birds, monkeys, and insects exist within a space that is both natural and marked by human intervention. For me, the work sits in that uneasy place where offering and disturbance coexist — where something precious can also feel fragile, complicated, or exposed. Like the other works in this series, it is less about illustrating a scene than about holding those different forces together: grace and threat, tenderness and intrusion, the organic and the imposed.

Offered as a limited-edition archival pigment print on paper, framed in a 2" solid white wood frame, in two sizes: 38" x 38" framed, edition of 5; and 26" x 26" framed, edition of 10. See less
