The canopy and shade fitter are made of solid brass and have been re-chromed, at great expense (try asking your local plater what they'd charge for such a job). As the base metal is solid brass, you'll never need concern yourself with any kind of tarnishing (unless you live on an island in an ocean, subject to "salty breezes").

The chain is new, chrome-plated steel. It's bunched up in the main photo, and as you see it, the overall length is about 36 inches. Using all the chain? Add about 9 or 10 more inches. The glass is in perfect viewing condition and measures about 10" across.

Fitted with a porcelain socket, standard-based.
