Torn and manipulated fabric planes, corrugated texture sections, and raw frayed edges are arranged with a strong diagonal energy across the horizontal format, recalling the Arte Povera and Informel movements that were influential in the 1960s. The restrained palette of warm ivory and tan puts all the emphasis on surface and form, and it works exceptionally well as a result. It sits in a simple walnut float frame that suits it perfectly.
