The delicate martele patterns, delicate scroll work and extremely fine hammering is attributed to the metalworker Charles Piguet (1887-1942). The design is simple and streamlined, and the craftsmanship is exemplified by the exquisite hand-hammered details that runs evenly around the perimeter.
Each corner is finished with crisp, hand wrought iron filigree-inspired detailing and subtle brass inlaid accents that catch and reflect the light. The patina of the natural iron is a dark pewter-like tone with brighter glints of silvery color and brass highlights.
