Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, it has been oiled but not refinished in any way. It was missing the original key, but we replaced it with a working key. Lift the lid to expose tons of inside storage bearing brass hinges, recessed finger loop pulls, and an absolute MAZE of multiple drawers, dividers, cubbies, compartments, and secret storage space GALORE!!!! It has an all-over antique patina which exudes a nostalgic character sure to add warmth and a sense of fascinating history to your home. These rugged chests were traditionally handcrafted by carpenters to hold all their woodworking tools and as cool as that is, now, if you are lucky enough to come across one, they are generally repurposed as coffee or end tables, blanket chests, bedside table, a storage bench, or even an entryway console.
