One … Read more A striking, closely matched pair of antique Chinese wedding gift buckets in vibrant cinnabar-red lacquer with ornate gilt-carved handles. One bucket is in excellent condition and features a rare maker's mark on the underside of the lid: "盧洪庚办" (Lu Honggeng Ban), identifying it as a documented studio piece from the late 19th/early 20th century. The second bucket shows an authentic, aged patina. Both include their original flush-sitting lids and exhibit traditional stave-built wooden construction. These are exceptional statement pieces for a sideboard or entryway. Dimensions" 14"h x15"w Condition Report: Good antique condition consistent with age. One bucket has a stable hairline crack to the handle post and minor lacquer loss. The underside of one bucket retains a partial paper collection label/adhesive residue. Minor age-appropriate surface wear and gilt thinning throughout.
