The side rails and back are finished with six finials. A carved skirt runs along the base, and the bench rests on turned, tapered, fluted feet.
The painted finish appears to date from the early to mid-20th century and presents in an overall antique white tone with gray undertones. The surface has been lightly distressed, revealing natural pine beneath.
The seat includes a simple foam cushion covered in muslin with exposed staples, providing a base for reupholstery at the buyer’s discretion.
The bench has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready for use. All scratches, cracks, dings, and age-related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this Swedish bench.
