Vintage industrial drafting chair featuring a molded wood seat and backrest mounted on a black metal frame. The chair retains its original adjustable height mechanism, operated by a lever beneath the seat, with a notched steel column allowing for incremental height positioning.The seat and back are formed from shaped wood panels with visible grain and a warm finish, secured with exposed fasteners. The frame consists of tubular supports with a circular stretcher/footrest and four splayed legs terminating in metal feet caps.
This piece shows age-appropriate wear, including surface scratches and patina to the wood and finish loss and oxidation to the metal components, consistent with industrial use. The adjustment mechanism functions as intended.A practical and character-rich seating option suitable for studio, workspace, or industrial-inspired interiors.
