Rare Vintage Large Black Onyx Sheaffer Desk Set comes with 2 Sheaffer white dot pens as well as 2 gold nib pens. The elegant rectangular Onyx base has 2 brass pen holders that fit into holes in the base. The unique set base is 14″ wide x 8” deep x 3/4″ high and has an indenture in which to lay the pen.
Made by the W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. in Fort Madison, Iowa. It was a gift to a family friend in 1947 or shortly thereafter. Brass nameplate was removed.
